DANCE 

Using dance for keeping fit gives a full body workout and is also a great cardio exercise, which can help strengthen your heart and improve lung capacity, as well as being good for weight loss. It can also be really good fun and a way to meet new friends!


At the Better Body Club, we have a variety of dance fitness classes on offer to suit all abilities and ages.

OVER 50s DANCE & TONE

These are really fun classes that change the A-Z dance style every 4-6 weeks -from American Smooth to Bollywood, Charleston to Disco as we work our way through the alphabet! Great exercise for the body and mind with easy to follow routines, great music, and friendly people. They are suitable for all fitness levels and abilities.


These classes are taught by Lisa.


ADULT TAP

Tuesdays 1.30pm

Thursdays 8pm


Suitable for all abilities this class uses fantastic music from across the decades.


This genre of dancing is low impact and will improve coordination and balance. It is a great fun workout for everyone. Tap shoes not essential.

These are fun dance classes using chart topping music and easy-to-follow routines.


Taken by Anita, with her wealth of experience in dance & entertainment you'll not fail to have a good time whilst getting fit!

OVER 60S KEEP FIT

Tuesdays 10.35am 

Thursdays 10.45am


This class, taught by Anita, is aimed at people of 60+ years of age. It consists of 30 minutes of aerobic exercise followed by 30 minutes of stretching. This combination of exercise has a number of benefits; it helps to maintain a healthy weight, reduces risk of falls by strengthening the muscles, it's linked to supporting thinking skills, boosts mood and energy levels and it’s social.


If you haven’t exercised in a while, don’t worry the class focuses on gentle exercise to help regain fitness at your own pace. However, if you are used to exercising it can be tailored to be more strenuous.

BARRE CONTROL

Mondays 10.15am


Barre is a workout technique inspired by elements of ballet, dance, and Pilates, that focuses on low-impact, high-intensity movements designed to strengthen and tone your body. It's designed to be a full-body workout broken into different sections that focus on major muscle groups including the arms, thighs, glutes, and core, working the muscles through small targeted movements, high repetition, and lightweight or resistance.

Line Dancing is a fun and energetic group dance class where participants learn choreographed steps set to popular country music, all performed in unison without the need for a partner. This class is taught by Lisa & Betsy.
