Nordic Walking is an enhancement of ordinary walking, using poles in order to add two major benefits to walking:
- The use of poles means the upper body muscles are used as well as the legs.
- The poles help to propel the walker along – this means he/she works harder than usual yet the support given by the poles makes it feel easier!
- Nordic walking not only improves your fitness but is a good way to meet new people.

The Wellness session on Mondays is a gentle safe way to walk yourself fitter and includes exercises to help with strength, flexibility and balance. The Fitness session on Tuesday is more of a cardio session with the focus on getting the heart rate up.t
*The Nordic Walking is no longer be part of the Better Body Club payment scheme and walks will be bookable via the Nordic Walking UK website. This is because Martine has become a Brand Ambassador for Nordic Walking UK and the upside is everyone who completes the training with her will be issued with a Nordic Walking UK passport which then allows you to join other walks all over the UK.
